Welcome to the Republic of Macedonia  IEEE IES/IAS/PELS Joint Chapter Web page

After the petition has been submitted to the IEEE Headqaurters the Joint Republic of Macedonia IEEE Industry Applications Society, Power Electronics Society and Industrial Electronics Society (IES/IAS/PELS)  Chapter has been approved in December 2000.

All three societies are active in the areas of controls, drives, power electronic devices and converters and industrial applications thereof. Each society organizes a conference annually, i.e., the IAS Annual Meeting, the Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESC) and the Annual Conference of the Industrial Electronics Society (IECON). Jointly, the IAS and PELS annually organize the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC).

As an IEEE member of the IEEE Republic of Macedonia Section you are also automatically a member of our Chapter when you have selected either the IES (Soc. code 013) and/or the IAS (Soc. code 034) and/or the  as one of the PELS (Soc. code 035) societies on your IEEE membership application form. Electronic filing of a membership application is possible.

           Chapter Objective

Our aim is to act as a facilitator in the area of power electronics, control and electric drives in Republic of Macedonia, to promote communication within the German power electronics community and strengthen national and international ties in meetings.
